General Queries

A. Clicking Log In using eFNS account and then click the creat eFNS account link given.

If you have an eCitizen account already, no need to create another account since you can use the same details to log in the eFNS system.

However, if your eCitizen account is an evisa or a business account, you need to create an eFNS account

  1. Go to My applications in the Dashboard (You go to dashboard by clicking Dshboard in the menu bat at the top)
  2. click View/print Applications. This takes you to a page with all the applications you have done and icons on the right. The icons are explained in the Action Keys at the top of the list. Here you can View, Print or edit your application.
Note: This should only be done after you completing the application.

A. Yes, you can edit your details but only after you have completed the whole application. After you finish;

A. Sub counties are linked to counties. You first need to select your county and the system will automatically load sub counties related to the selected county. This will enable you to select the desired sub county.
Citizenship/Travel Document

1. Q. I am a Kenyan. I would like to know the procedures for applying for a duplicate birth certificate and to receive the appropriate application form

A. Apply through the Kenya High Commission with the following items:-Copy of the Birth Certificate or give the Birth Certificate entry number. Complete the Duplicate Birth Certificate Search Form. There will be a $56.00 Fee, payable to the Kenya High Commission.

A. Complete Passport Application Forms submit two photographs, birth certificate and an application fee of $75.00.

A.Upon arrival in Kenya, you are advised to apply for a Dependant’s Pass for the child at the Immigration Office. Get the child registered as a Kenyan citizen. The child can be issued with a passport after registration if application is made.

It should first be established if the Kenyan spouse lost Kenya citizenship under the repealed constitution, if so then the Kenyan spouse should first go through the process of regaining Kenya citizenship before his/her spouse can qualify for PR on the basis of marriage. Otherwise the spouse does qualify.

A.Yes, if the marriage has been registered with the registrar of marriages in Kenya and since registration the record has been in existence for at least 3 years. The record should also be verifiable by the same office of registrar if need be.
