Application for Permit Class R: (EAC NATIONALS (KEP/R).)
This permit is issued to a person who is a citizen of a Member State of the East African Community and is not a Prohibited Immigrant and who intends to reside, engage in employment, activity, business, trade or engage in any prescribed profession and whose presence will be of benefit to Kenya.
What are the requirements
Duly filled and signed Form 25 online form. You will print out the form at the end of the application. You can also access your previous applications by clicking here
Two(2) recent passport size colored photos (for both new and renewal)
Copies of valid national passport (bio-data page)
Current Immigration status if in the country
Cover letter from the organization/employer addressed to the Director General of Immigration Services.
Certificate of registration of the organization or business.
Academic certificate/professional certificates.
Clearance letters/Licenses from relevant bodies for members of prescribed profession.
For Investors;
Proof Capital investment for investors.
Proof of land ownership or lease for farmers.
Shareholding certificate (CR 12) for investors.
Proof of source of income for residents.
For Missionaries;
Letter from sending religious society in home country.
Proof of registration of sending religious society in home country.
Details of sending religious society (HQ);
Physical address.
Telephone number.
Email address.
Contact details of senior official of sending religious society i.e. Name, Title (e.g Bishop, Sheikh, Priest), Telephone number and Email address.
Supporting letter from local umbrella religious body i.e. Supkem, Hindu Council, Sikh Union or any other recognized religious body.
Documentary proof of training in religious faith.
Certificate of ordination (where applicable).
Details of work station:
Name i.e. masjid Musa, Majengo Mombasa, St. Joseph Catholic Church, Tudor Mombasa.
Physical address i.e. Location, road/street/town/village, county.
Telephone number.

For renewals;
Tax Compliance Certificate (Individual/employer).
Investors to produce tax compliance certificate for company.
Labourers and small-scale traders to provide police clearance certificate (Kenya).
Log in using the account you have created above to access eFNS portal
Once logged in the eFNS portal, select the "Apply now" Link
Click on the "Submit Applications" tab and select the Permit Issuance/Renewal tab. If you are already logged in to eFNS, you can click here to make an application.
After completing the application form, an invoice will be generated which you can see by clicking on "Dashboard" then "Payments" Tab. If you have already logged in eFNS, you can click here to make a payment.
If unable to pay using any of the online modes, print your application form by clicking on "Dashboard" then "My Applications" Tab (or click here to print your application). Present your application with all the requirements at the Immigration headquaters(Nyayo house), for payments and processing.
You shall receive automatic notifications via email and on your online account about the progress of your application.

Application print-outs must be presented to the Immigration headquaters or any other regional offices.
